Ledbetter-Armstrong 

Oscar Lee Ledbetter was the sixth child of Henry McDonald and Martha Emmaline Chafin Ledbetter. He was born in Red Bay Alabama. When he was a small child his family moved to the Baldwyn Mississippi, area where He grew up and went to school. He returned to Alabama as a young man. In the early 1900's where he met and married Augusta Cleo Armstrong in 1908.

They had seven children. Marvin Lester, Marga Louella, Maudie Faye, Marshall Howard, Martha E., Mable E., and Leland Cleo. Martha and Mable died at a very early age and Marga died in 1976 at age sixty-four. Marvin passed in 2006 at the age of 96, followed by Lelend in 2007, at 81. Maudie left us in 2009 at the age of 94.
Oscar Lee's parents, Henry McDonald and Martha Emmaline Chafin Ledbetter came to Alabama in 1917 or 1918, and lived with Oscar and Augusta until their deaths. They are both buried at Elliotsville Presbyterian Church Cemetery between Pelham and Montevallo Alabama.
